Fantail mops are conventional cut-end mops with a tape sewn near the bottom of the strands. This limits to just an inch or two the tendency of the strands to lose their twist and lint off. Fantailed do not become tangled, snagged or knotted. Fantails provide better control of the tool and significantly greater durability.
